About the role





As a Sales Specialist Manager at AB Agri, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our dairy sales team by leading a small group of sales specialists across either the northern or southern region of England.


This position offers a unique blend of people management, sales strategy execution, and hands-on customer engagement within the agricultural sector.


You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring your team to improve sales capability, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring the right products are sold to the right customers to maximise growth and profitability.


What you'll be doing




Lead and manage a team of five to six sales specialists within your designated region, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to drive sales effectiveness and team capability. Oversee pipeline management, ensuring sales opportunities are progressed efficiently and aligned with the company's strategic objectives. Collaborate closely with consultant leads to coordinate customer engagement, deciding the best approach for each account based on relationship strength, growth potential, and sales strategy. Maintain and grow your own portfolio of high-value customers, focusing on selling high-margin, performance products that meet customer needs and drive business growth. Conduct regular farm visits to provide product advice and support to dairy farmers, reinforcing strong customer relationships and understanding of their evolving requirements.

What we're looking for




Proven experience in field sales, ideally with at least two to three years in a regional sales role that includes managing a team and regular travel to customer sites. Strong background in business-to-business sales, with the ability to manage a sales pipeline, develop strategic sales plans, and build lasting customer relationships. Experience in feed sales and livestock nutrition is highly desirable, providing credibility and understanding of the dairy industry. Demonstrated people management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop a small team of sales specialists to achieve shared goals. ###
