Sales Team Leader





We are on the lookout for a proven and results-driven sales professional with strong leadership capabilities to join the CEU Sales team. The ideal candidate will have SME insurance experience.

Key responsibilities:



Leads by example, aligning team performance and behaviour with the strategic direction set by CEU and the wider PIB business, ensuring full alignment with company objectives. Drives the execution of new business plans and consistently delivers against sales targets, both through personal performance and by leading, motivating, and supporting the wider sales team. Takes a proactive leadership role in ensuring high standards of client service, with a focus on consistently meeting and exceeding client expectations. Identifies, develops, and converts new business opportunities into long-term client relationships, ensuring a healthy and well-managed sales pipeline. Coaches and mentors team members, supporting their technical development in commercial insurance and helping to build their professional capabilities. Leads initiatives to improve sales processes and operational efficiency, contributing to better client outcomes and internal workflow. Builds and maintains strong working relationships across departments and with key external partners such as underwriters, enhancing the team's ability to deliver tailored solutions. Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge of the business's core insurance products and market developments to support client needs and guide the team effectively. Ensures compliance with business processes and regulatory requirements, with a focus on accurate and timely recording of client information and sales activity. Fosters a culture of continuous learning and development, actively encouraging team members to take ownership of their growth and career progression. Provides weekly sales performance updates to the management team, including key statistics and an action plan for the week ahead. Identifies training needs within the team and communicates these clearly to the Line Manager to support individual and team development. Acts as a liaison across departments, helping resolve issues and improve communication and collaboration between teams.
