Job Purpose



The purpose of the Sales Trainee role is to provide support to the internal sales team while gaining hands-on experience in the sales process. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career within Underwoods, with a view to developing into an external sales role if progress is made. The Sales Trainee will learn about the company's product portfolio, develop customer relationship skills, and build the foundation for a successful career in sales.

Role Overview



This role is designed for an ambitious individual who is eager to develop a career within Underwoods. Starting in an internal sales capacity, the successful candidate will gain valuable experience and knowledge of the business, with the opportunity to progress into an external sales role if performance targets and development milestones are achieved.

Key Responsibilities



Customer Engagement:

Assist in handling customer enquiries and providing professional and timely responses.

Order Processing:

Support the internal sales team by accurately processing sales orders, quotations, and enquiries.

Sales Support:

Collaborate with the internal and external sales teams to ensure smooth communication and operational efficiency.

Product Knowledge:

Develop a thorough understanding of the company's product offerings to assist customers effectively.

Account Management:

Support the development and maintenance of strong customer relationships.

Sales Growth:

Identify opportunities to contribute to sales growth by assisting with upselling and cross-selling initiatives.

Market Awareness:

Stay informed about industry trends and customer requirements to enhance sales effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience



No previous sales experience required, although experience in a customer-orientated role is desirable A proactive and results-driven attitude A willingness to undertake training and development in a self motivated manner to progress within their career.

Additional Information



This role is based at the branch with limited travel required Competitive starting salary with inclusion within branch bonus schemes.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 23,000.00-23,001.00 per year
