Role overview




As a Senior/Lead Consultant at Bluewave, you will bring more than 5 years of hands-on Salesforce experience, ideally gained in a Salesforce Consultancy or within a large in-house Salesforce environment. Your primary focus will be on the successful delivery of client projects, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing Salesforce solutions that drive measurable business value.


This is a client-facing role, requiring frequent interaction with client stakeholders, internal delivery teams, and potentially third parties. You will contribute at all stages of the project lifecycle -- from discovery and design through to delivery, adoption, and optimisation -- and may also support pre-sales activities, proof-of-concepts, and solution demonstrations.

People we are looking for



Configure, build, and test Salesforce applications and technical architecture components, or direct others in doing so. This includes page layouts, Lightning applications, Flows, Validation Rules, and other declarative features of Salesforce, up to and including add-ons and integrations that are utilised in a total enterprise environment. Incorporate Salesforce AI and Agentforce capabilities into solution design, ensuring customers understand and leverage features such as predictive insights, generative AI assistants, and conversational/Agentforce bots. Configure, test, and refine AI-driven user experiences that align to business processes and deliver measurable value. Ensure all work is well-engineered, performant, and maintainable, with effective documentation to facilitate ongoing support. Participate in transitions of functional components to the testers; fix any defects and performance issues discovered in testing. Communicate effectively with clients about the possibilities and implications of declarative functionality, including AI and automation. Manage expectations positively while pushing back constructively when needed. Lead and implement project tasks within an end-to-end process independently, while actively engaging with senior management and stakeholders to align with broader programme objectives. Understand and work with DevOps and release management tools, supporting deployments across environments. Promote Salesforce best practice, maximising declarative functionality where possible, and applying technical acumen to identify when a code-based solution is appropriate. Lead on solution design across automations, custom objects, data relationships, and AI-powered features in Salesforce. Gather and refine functional business requirements, translating them into actionable User Stories and Epics, with particular attention to AI readiness (e.g., clean data, model training, trust layers, prompt design). Understand and apply knowledge of connected Salesforce technologies (e.g., managed packages, other Salesforce Clouds, Data Cloud, AI Cloud) and their interaction within the wider technology landscape. Identify, raise, and document project issues and risks, presenting these to project teams and stakeholders. Recommend new features and improvements to optimise and increase use of the platform--including AI-powered features such as predictive lead scoring, case summarisation, and intelligent routing. Contribute to presales activity, including requirement gathering, validation of client needs, and shaping proposals that highlight the role of Salesforce AI and Agentforce in driving transformation.

Your skills and experiences



Salesforce Expertise

- Demonstrable proficiency across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning Experience, and declarative development (Flows, Lightning App Builder, Dynamic Forms, Validation Rules).

AI & Agentforce

- Practical experience (or strong aptitude to develop expertise) in configuring and deploying Salesforce AI features, including Agentforce bots, AI-driven automation, predictive analytics, and data readiness for AI use cases.

Agile Delivery

- Skilled in Agile/Scrum methodologies, with experience delivering within iterative cycles and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops, lead client discussions, and positively influence stakeholders at all levels.

Leadership & Mentoring

- Proven experience leading project workstreams and supporting junior consultants, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Presentation Skills

- Confident in presenting product expertise, business process solutions, and AI/automation opportunities to diverse audiences, from end-users to executives.

Problem Solving & Analysis

- Strong analytical skills to anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and translate complex business requirements into actionable Salesforce configurations.

Adaptability

- Flexible working style, able to adjust to changing circumstances and shift priorities as project needs evolve.

Data & Integration

- Experience with data migration strategy, mapping, cleansing of legacy data, and awareness of API integrations/middleware for connected enterprise solutions.

Testing & Quality Assurance

- Experience in supporting regression testing and UAT planning, ensuring solutions are robust, user-ready, and AI-driven features are validated effectively.

Deployment & DevOps Awareness

- Proficient in using change sets for configuration deployments, coordinating with technical teams on deployment planning, sandbox refreshes, and pre-/post-deployment checks. Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and release management practices is desirable.

Continuous Learning

- Commitment to ongoing professional development, keeping up to date with Salesforce platform releases, AI advancements, and best practices.

Admin, Advanced Admin, App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Agentforce / AI Cloud readiness (e.g. Trailhead Superbadges, hands-on project experience, or demonstrable expertise in AI-powered Salesforce solutions)



Desirable:

Experience Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant, Business Analyst, UX Designer, Strategy Designer
