David L. Douglas is a family run business operating from Fife in Scotland. A combination of traditional skill and current technology ensures that clients are offered a first class solution in fitted furniture. Products produced from the manufacturing facility include handmade kitchens, bespoke commissions, fitted bedrooms and home offices.

David L Douglas has been operating in the joinery industry for the last 30 years, the current business has been built to 20 staff members and turnover of 1.6million was achieved in 2020. David L Douglas is now run by the 4 members of the Douglas family, David, Elaine, Michael and Samantha.

The business currently has a full order book until January 2022 and attributes their success to a high percentage of end user referral and excellent customer service. An average order value to the company is around 45,000 to include installation.

David L. Douglas projects are currently focussed around East Scotland and in the design, manufacture and installation of high end kitchens. There is a hunger, and perceived market, to drive business further afield; be this central belt of Scotland or affluent areas of northern England. The company has done a handful of large projects in Cheshire by way of an example.

The new opportunity of Production Manager will be integral to the company's growth in its existing market as well as developing the manufacturing facility to increase capacity and presence in the high end commercial market.

Role Summary

We sell handcrafted, bespoke kitchens (50K-150K). You'll guide clients through a relationship-led, high-value sale.

Responsibilities

Showroom consultations (no cold calling) Build long-term client and trade relationships Manage pipeline through CRM across a longer sales cycle Work closely with our in-house design team

Requirements

Proven B2C sales record Professional presentation and communication Kitchens/interiors/luxury retail experience preferred
