Responsibilities

Engage with customers to understand their timber needs and recommend suitable products Provide detailed product/quote information, including specifications, applications, and benefits Maintain a thorough knowledge of current timber inventory, pricing, and promotions Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely quotes, deliveries and stock availability

Skills

Proven experience in customer service and sales within the building materials or timber industry preferred Excellent communication skills to clearly explain product features and benefits Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse customers Ability to understand technical specifications and translate them into customer-friendly language Motivated self-starter with a proactive attitude toward achieving sales targets Knowledge of safety standards related to handling timber products is a plus Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
