The London Salon Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the salon, ensuring the highest standards of client care, team performance, and commercial success. This role requires a confident leader who can inspire a professional culture, uphold Aderans' reputation for excellence, and consistently drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Sales Generation
Creates a professional team culture that delivers a consistently excellent client journey from start to finish, upholding Aderans' reputation for outstanding client care
Drives profitability with consistent monitoring of sales performance. Instinctively reacts to fluctuations with ideas to drive the business forward
Provides personalised client consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable services, products, and solutions. Fitting, cutting, colouring and styling of wigs and hair systems
Commercially driven and marketing savvy; is innovative & creative in their approach to salon social media connecting to both existing & new clients
Effectively reduces client complaints by embedding a culture of a 5client experience each time
Identifies new opportunities to maximise revenue, client retention, and service quality
Proactively strengthens partnerships and collaborations with local NHS hospitals, charities, and non-competing medical institutions with the aim to build new leads.
Hosts up to 4 support groups annually with existing and/or new leads for B2B and B2C
Team leadership and development
A true professional, role model & dynamic leader who motivates their team to follow their example in maintaining high standards of positive behaviour in every instance
Monitors team performance through effective coaching, regular 121s & the annual appraisal process, setting key objectives that align with the salons' goals
Addresses and resolves staff underperformance & issues through effective people management
Recruits, trains & develops their team effectively. Recognises training potential & offers both internal & external training opportunities upskilling their team to become industry experts
Regularly holds open & motivational team meetings discussing KPIs, encouraging team contribution
Operational Management
Responsible for all salon operations, including admin and stock management whilst also instilling the importance of accuracy within the team
Reports directly to Senior Management with detailed feedback on all aspects of salon performance & actively contributes ideas & feedback during monthly Salon Managers' meetings
Financial management through effective budgeting; oversees all salon expenses and payroll, driving profitability
Works closely with NHS hospitals & clinics; ensuring these existing relationships are maintained through regular visits & all NHS admin is in place for the client
Health & safety policy implementation and management, liaising with the relevant head office departments to ensure compliance
Clear understanding of GDPR compliance
Skills & Qualifications
Professional hairdressing qualifications, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Experience within the hair loss industry an advantage but not essential as full training will be given
Proven experience managing a salon or similar client-focused environment
Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills
Commercial awareness with the ability to drive performance and achieve targets
Exceptional communication and client service skills
Highly organised, adaptable, and solutions focused
Strong business insight (planning, finance, marketing)
Our Offer
Starting salary 40,000
After 3 months, 10% commission on all individual sales after a base rate is achieved
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, with occasional Saturdays when a day off in the week would apply
