Job Overview

I am looking for an experienced sample machinist with a proven industry background to sew toiles, samples, and short production runs from my studio in Norwich.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in a wide range of soft separates, mainly womenswear, and be confident and proactive in their work.

able to work in my studio in Norwich, or work from home if you have required equipment.

Proficient using industrial lockstich machine. Perform maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines efficiently. Experience within a manufacturing environment would be ideal. Able to identify pattern issues and advise on different sewing technique. Excellent sewing skills, demonstrating manual dexterity and attention to detail. Understanding of tech packs/spec sheets desirable. Ability to read and interpret patterns accurately. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
