Job Description

As a Team Leader in our Sampling Department, you will have a crucial leadership role supporting a team of Sampling Assistants and Chefs who purchase, prepare and present product samples for our Buying team's evaluation and decision-making. Your leadership will ensure that samples are prepared to exacting standards and delivered on time, maintaining food safety and quality at all times -- all within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Your New Role


Lead and motivate the Sampling team to achieve exacting standards in sample preparation and presentation Ensure all product samples are prepared accurately and ready on time for assessment Maintain an organised, efficient, and safe working environment, adapting quickly to shifting priorities Uphold all food safety and handling procedures, ensuring compliance at all times Foster effective communication within the team and across departments Support continuous improvement and a proactive approach in the department

About You


Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Catering/Hospitality/Retail experience Full UK Driving Licence Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Teams Background in catering or similar food preparation experience Previous experience of leading/managing people Ability to build strong successful working relationships cross functionally and motivate your team of direct reports, Exceptional attention to detail A confident open-minded approach that welcomes feedback Excellent organisation, time, and diary management with the ability to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of work Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to influence stakeholders
