Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sandwich Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure high standards of food safety, and deliver excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic and friendly environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our establishment. The Sandwich Hand will work closely with kitchen staff to prepare and serve delicious sandwiches and related products, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of sandwiches, salads, and other quick-service food items according to company standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations. Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and providing friendly service. Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a high standard, adhering to health and safety guidelines. Restock ingredients and supplies as needed throughout shifts to ensure smooth operations. Upsell menu items where appropriate to enhance customer experience and maximise sales opportunities. Follow proper food handling procedures at all times, maintaining hygiene standards in line with legislation. Support team members during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery.

Skills

Experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant environment is desirable. Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and portion control. Previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to food service and preparation.

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
