Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of sandwiches and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills, a basic understanding of maths for portion control, and a passion for culinary arts. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of food preparation. You will also be required to help in the shop and general assistant duties. This is a busy but fun and positive working environment. Full and part time work for this position is possible. Some Saturday work (shorter hours) will be needed.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu guidelines. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, adhering to food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Assist in managing inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available for daily operations. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including upselling menu items when appropriate. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours. Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic maths skills for accurate portion control and inventory management. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is highly desirable. Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers. A positive attitude and willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
