Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker/cook to join our team. This role involves preparing high-quality sandwiches and meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent food presentation and safety standards.

You will need to be able to cook some of our food itmes and make and serve our menu following specs and customer needs.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sandwiches and meal options according to established recipes and customer preferences Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used in accordance with food safety regulations Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicing machines, toasters, and grills Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising surfaces and utensils regularly Assist with inventory management by restocking ingredients and supplies as needed Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment for colleagues and customers Provide friendly service to customers, answering questions about menu items when required Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or cafe environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous Experience in meal preparation or working with culinary equipment will be beneficial Prior serving or customer service experience is desirable but not mandatory; a friendly attitude is essential for success in this role
