Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious sandwiches while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. A passion for culinary arts and customer service is essential, as you will also be involved in upselling menu items to enhance the customer experience.

Duties

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, cooking meats, and preparing sauces. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including taking orders and suggesting additional menu items through upselling techniques. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Conduct basic maths calculations for portion control and inventory management. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the restaurant environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety practices is advantageous. Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment. A basic understanding of culinary principles and an eagerness to learn new skills will be beneficial. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers and colleagues alike.

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
