Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious sandwiches, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. As a Sandwich Maker, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer orders and established recipes. Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean workspace at all times. Assist in managing inventory by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to management. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including taking orders and suggesting menu items. Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Uphold food safety standards by following proper handling procedures for all ingredients.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques with an understanding of food safety practices. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in a fast-paced environment. Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders effectively. Kitchen or culinary experience is an advantage, demonstrating familiarity with cooking equipment and processes. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation of orders during peak hours. Ability to upsell menu items effectively, enhancing the customer experience while increasing sales.
