Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting delicious sandwiches while ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive dining experience.

Duties

Prepare a variety of sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu guidelines. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to during food preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Engage with customers, providing recommendations and upselling menu items to enhance their dining experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Perform basic maths calculations for portion control and ingredient measurements.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation of orders. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Basic maths skills for accurate food preparation and inventory management. A positive attitude with a willingness to help others on the team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
