Job Summary

We are seeking a team of staff members, including Mrs Claus, to help run a Santa's Grotto and Giant Snow Globe this Christmas holiday season. Staff members play a vital role in creating a magical experience for children and families. You will be responsible for welcoming guests, assisting with data entry, and ensuring that each visit to Santa's Grotto is memorable. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with visitors is paramount. Most staff will have shifts at the Grotto and Snow Globe, but Mrs Claus will be entirely based at the Grotto where she will read to and entertain the kids as they wait for Santa. The Grotto will open Mid Nov at weekends, then full time in December until Christmas eve. The Globe will run the same time, but all Christmas holiday into the new year. Rate of pay depends on age. Must be 16+ to apply.

Responsibilities

Welcome families and children to Santa's Grotto, ensuring a warm and friendly environment. Assist with data entry tasks related to visitor bookings and experiences. Utilise upselling techniques to promote additional services or products to guests. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grotto area. Communicate effectively with visitors.

Qualifications and Experience

You should be a friendly, cheery individual who is happy to embrace the Christmas spirit. This may be suited to a drama school student or graduate who is confident in the public eye. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with children and adults alike. Experience with working with or teaching children is beneficial, as is any public facing role. Most importantly we look for a friendly disposition with a passion for creating memorable experiences during the festive season.

Contract length: 6 weeks

Pay: 8.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 35 per week
