We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated level 3 practitioner to join our team on Saturdays, supporting children and young people with additional needs, disabilities, and life-limiting conditions. This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and their families.
Working as part of our friendly and supportive team, you will help plan and deliver fun, safe, and engaging activities that encourage social interaction, independence, and development. We have fixed hours on a Saturday which are 10am till 2pm and the role is ideal for someone looking for additional flexible hours, with opportunities for additional shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with additional needs, disabilities and/or life limiting conditions in line with Level 3 standards.
Help to plan, deliver, and evaluate a range of inclusive play, learning, and social activities.
Support children and young people with personal, social, and emotional development.
Work closely with families, listening to their needs and supporting them with sensitivity and respect.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in your care, following safeguarding and health & safety policies.
Contribute to creating a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children, young people, and their families.
About You
Qualified to Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years, Playwork, Health and Social Care or Youth Work (or equivalent).
Experience of working with children and/or young people, ideally those with additional needs or disabilities.
A warm, caring, and patient approach with a passion for making a difference.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
