A vacancy has arisen for a Saw and Drill Operative.

Duties include:

Setting-up Sawing and Drilling machines. Loading sectional steel materials, adjusting settings, and operating the cutting and drilling machines to process items according to the engineering drawings/job cards. Monitoring the cutting and drilling process to ensure accuracy and adjusting where necessary. Inspecting the finished parts to ensure that they meet the required specifications. Performing routine maintenance on sawing and drilling equipment, including cleaning, and replacing parts, as necessary. Keeping accurate records of production runs, material usage and machine maintenance. Collaborating with the production teams to ensure efficient workflow. Working to the requirements of an ISO 9001 quality management system. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations. Assisting in other departments when required.

The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working in a busy environment; is a team player; has good attention to detail; and can prioritize, plan, and manage their workload with minimal supervision.

Due to fluctuating operational demands, it will be necessary to work overtime and/or weekends when required. Where normal working hours are exceeded, the applicable overtime for Monday to Saturday is 1.45x basic hourly rate, and 1.9x basic hourly rate on a Sunday.

Licences/Certification

:

Forklift Licence (Preferable, but full training will be provided to the successful candidate).

Candidates must reside in the UK, and have the right to live and work in the UK without the need for VISA sponsorship.
