Saw Operator/Yard Operative

Full time, permanent position available with an immediate start.

Monday - Thursday 8am to 5pm. Fridays 7:30am to 4pm.

Due to company growth we are looking for a Saw Operator/Yard Operative to join our production environment. We are looking for an individual able to work cohesively in a team, and able to work on their own initiative.

The Company:

World Leaders in welding and robot manipulation. Able to provide bespoke solutions to a World Class Customer Base. We design and manufacture high precision mechanical products for use in the production of wind turbines, the nuclear and defense sectors, general engineering, and oil and gas industries. Our machining is working mainly with ferrous but some non-ferrous metals, working to high precision tolerances. Progressive, forward thinking, and expanding due to growth.
Job description:

Operating forklift trucks (essential). Overhead crane operating. Full UK driving license (preferred). Bandsaw operating (essential). Carry out manual handling tasks. Assisting production with minor metalworking tasks. General housekeeping duties. Other various general tasks within the factory areas.

Honesty and reliability. Excellent communication skills. Flexible approach to working hours. An excellent eye for detail. A right first-time attitude. The ability to work to tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
Holiday entitlement - 20 days + 8 bank holidays

The company has a shutdown over the Christmas period.
