Job Description

UK Timber Ltd are a family orientated, fast growing, professional Timber merchant and Joinery manufacturer who have operated in Corby since 2002. We are a nationwide supplier and producer of a vast range of domestic and European timber products.

Due to our ongoing growth, we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a saw doctor/technician. Working within our Engineering department, under the leadership of our Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair and precision setting of industrial saw blades used in our sawmills.

The Role:

Repairing a wide range of sawmill saws Replacing saw blades Sharpening, Levelling and tensioning saw blades Follow scheduled tool change and maintenance schedules Work alongside engineering & operation teams to resolve cutting issues related to tooling

The Person:

The ideal candidate will already be experienced Saw Doctor within the Timber industry

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail Problem solving skills Confident working alone or alongside others The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a busy environment Positive and proactive attitude
