Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating saws and other machinery to cut materials according to specifications. This role requires a the ability to measure. You will be cross cutting Softwood for the production of Packing Cases, Crates and Pallets and sheet material, Plywood. The Saw Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
Operate saws and other cutting machinery to produce precise cuts on various materials. Ensure material is cut efficiently to minimise waste. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Work efficiently in a fast paced environment to ensure production times are met. Maintain high accuracy to ensure specifications are followed.
Skills
Experience of using Saws and cutting timber. Work to specifications. Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
