Job Description

We are looking for a machine operator/sawyer for our site at Westwood. Experience preferred but not necessary as full training will be given.

Job Summary: Responsible for producing quality stone in accordance with work order specification and properly caring for equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Receive direction and work orders from Supervisor

Verify that tools and equipment are in proper working condition

Perform Start-Up/Shut Down routine of equipment

Perform routine maintenance of equipment

Set-up machine to cut according to job specifications

Cut product to specification - Perform finishing processes as necessary

Send finished product to be packaged - Assist other large saw operators

Complete all necessary reports and paperwork

Data Entry

Keep work area clean and orderly

Follow all Health & Safety regulations

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Dependable

Ability to work independently

Ability to lift heavy loads

Detail oriented

Ability to adapt to varying work environments (i.e. hot, cold, wet, dusty)

Able to stand for long periods of time Visit

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to read and use a tape measure

Ability to read and write English

Basic computer skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift Monday to Friday
Licence/Certification:

Driving License (preferred)
Work Location: In person
