Job Summary

GMG Energy is looking for a reliable and experienced Sawmill Operator to take a hands-on role in managing daily wood production operations. This includes overseeing the manufacturing of wooden products, managing raw materials, reducing waste, and contributing to an expanding team.

You'll be expected to operate machinery, ensure efficient production, and take part in all areas of the manufacturing process, including wood drying.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and operate sawmill production processes

Manage raw material use and minimise waste

Manufacture high-quality wood products for sale

Support drying operations and general workshop tasks

Work closely within a team to meet production targets

Maintain high standards of safety and efficiency

Skills and Experience Required:

Experience in wood product manufacturing

Strong teamworking and communication skills

Understanding of Health & Safety and environmental practices

Knowledge of wood manufacturing systems

Experience with lean manufacturing (preferred)

Practical mindset with a strong work ethic

Results-focused and motivated

Salary:Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience.
