The Role:
We are seeking an experienced
Scaffold Health & Safety Officer
to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all scaffolding operations are carried out in full compliance with health and safety regulations, company procedures, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site inspections and audits across multiple projects in London.
Monitor compliance with statutory requirements, TG20:21, SG4:22, and company safety policies.
Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions to scaffolders and operatives.
Investigate and report any incidents, accidents, or near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
Liaise with site management, clients, and regulatory bodies on safety matters.
Prepare and maintain risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and other HSE documentation.
Support and oversee
Network Rail packages
, ensuring all rail-related safety standards and procedures are met.
Carry out
site audits
, prepare reports, and follow up on any non-conformances.
Record and distribute
meeting minutes
for internal and external safety meetings.
Support continuous improvement of health and safety culture within the company.
Requirements:
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent qualification) - essential.
CISRS qualification or strong understanding of scaffolding operations - highly desirable.
Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the scaffolding or construction industry.
Experience working on
Network Rail
or other high-safety-standard projects - desirable.
Excellent knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice standards.
Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence (site travel required).
