Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder/labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping with the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of scaffolding structures on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Scaffold Builder will utilise various tools and equipment to ensure that scaffolding is erected safely and efficiently.

Duties

Helping to assemble and disassemble scaffolding systems according to project specifications and safety regulations. Ensure all scaffolding is structurally sound and meets compliance standards. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and electricians, to coordinate work efforts. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for fabrication tasks. Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding equipment to identify any necessary repairs or maintenance. Assist in the installation of safety features such as guardrails and toe boards. Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety on-site. Follow all health and safety guidelines to minimise risks associated with scaffold building.

Requirements

Proven experience in scaffold building or related construction roles is preferred. Familiarity with welding techniques and electrical systems is advantageous. Proficient in the use of power tools, hand tools, and masonry skills. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to scaffold construction. Physical fitness and stamina, as the role requires lifting heavy materials and working at heights. A valid driver's licence may be required for transportation to various job sites. Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.
