Overview

Scarpetta is a new Independent, family run Italian restaurant seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our vibrant team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring that their experience is memorable. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Be presentable and on time for work. Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first impression. For the prospective Bar Staff applying, they must be able to prepare drinks that meet our guests' preferences to company standards following Scottish Licensing law. Be able to manage the bar area efficiently, and ensure all drink orders are fulfilled quickly and accurately. Assist with seating arrangements and manage reservations efficiently. Take orders accurately and ensure timely service of food and beverages while providing menu recommendations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and service flow. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area. Ensuring compliance with licensing laws and food and health/safety and other statutory regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential for guest interaction. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A team player who is willing to help colleagues as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A passion for providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
