Through our sector leading services, we offer friendship to the isolated and lonely, sheltered housing for those who want to remain proudly independent and childcare to serving personnel on RAF stations. About the role

Rothbury House is a beautiful Victorian building situated at the west end of Rothbury, overlooking the Coquet Valley in Northumberland. We provide 24 high quality retirement apartments and 10 one- and two-bedroom self-contained flats for RAF veterans and their spouses. With an estimated 40% of veterans living alone, we know that isolation and loneliness is a huge problem. Rothbury House offers an opportunity for our tenants to relive the camaraderie of their time in the RAF as well as supporting and promoting their independent living.

The Scheme Manager will take the lead in monitoring and reviewing housing services at Rothbury and oversee the day-to-day operations of the service provision ensuring compliance with all Association policies and procedures, upholding best practice and adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements. Primary responsibilities include;

Promote independent living arrangements with new and existing tenants; including social, financial and digital independence. Health & Safety and Fire Checks, staying on top of compliance with accurate records Promote a positive living environment by managing tenant relationships Participate in allocation meetings and assist in monitoring the allocation process. Manage the House Assistants and Head Chef's within the service and ensure effective cascade, performance management and objective setting takes place and effective scheduling.
About you

A background in managing or leading a housing provision for older people is essential for this role. You will have up to date knowledge and experience in relation to health and safety compliance and housing management along with an ability to manage new and existing relationships with regards to tender and contractor management. As an excellent and persuasive communicator, you will demonstrate a sympathetic and patient approach to support some scenarios of a sensitive and personal nature and build relationships with our residents and their families. You will bring with you experience of leading and managing a team of support staff along with up-to-date IT skills across the Microsoft Office Suite.
