We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our administrative functions. This position requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Administrative Officer will also be involved in teaching and training new staff members, making effective communication and interpersonal skills essential.
Responsibilities
Manage daily administrative tasks to ensure efficient office operations
Assist in the development and implementation of office policies and procedures
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes as required
Maintain accurate records and filing systems for easy retrieval of information
Support the recruitment process by scheduling interviews and onboarding new employees
Facilitate training sessions for new staff members, sharing knowledge and best practices
Handle correspondence, including emails and phone calls, with professionalism
Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive functioning of the organisation
Qualifications
Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software
Experience in teaching or training is highly desirable
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work
