We are seeking an organised, proactive, and approachable
School Administrator
to join our busy school office team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school, supporting staff, students, and parents with professionalism and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and external agencies, providing a warm and professional welcome.
Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups.
Maintain and update school records and databases (SIMS or other MIS), ensuring compliance with GDPR.
Support pupil attendance monitoring, chasing absences, and producing reports for senior leadership.
Assist with admissions, enrolment, and leaver processes, maintaining accurate student records.
Coordinate school communications, including newsletters, notices, and letters to parents.
Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and circulate documentation as required.
Support with exam administration and data entry for internal and external assessments.
Liaise with suppliers, manage stock orders, and process invoices in line with school procedures.
Provide general administrative support to teachers and leadership team, including photocopying, filing, and document preparation.
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in school administration or a busy office environment (education sector preferred).
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of school MIS systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor, Progresso) desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines under pressure.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Professional, discreet, and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
