Haydn Primary School is a two-form entry school at the heart of the vibrant and diverse community of Sherwood. Our catchment is both culturally and socially diverse which makes Haydn an exciting place to work. We are part of the Nottingham Schools Trust and work collaboratively with our partner schools.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Business Manager to join our warm and welcoming team to help lead the strategic direction of the school.
Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience of School Business Management.
This crucial role involves:

  • Finance: Budget setting, monitoring and management
  • GDPR and Data Protection (Data Protection Officer)
  • Payroll/Pensions
  • Human Resources
  • Site and Premises Management
  • Procurement
  • Health & Safety
  • Contract Management
  • All administrative aspects of the school
  • Line management of staff
We are looking for a professional who can contribute significantly to the efficient running and continuous improvement of our school at a strategic level.
This is a permanent post. We encourage visits to school and this can be arranged by contacting the School Office. Dates for visits: Monday 21st July at 3:30pm or Wednesday 23rd July at 9am.
The post will begin at the start of the 2025-26 academic year, though a later start date could be accommodated to allow a notice period to be served.
Deadline for applications: 15th August 2025 at 11.59pm
Interviews will take place on Thursday 28th August 2025.
