We are looking to appoint a full time Caretaker to join an amazing school team. The ideal person will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils and staff. This position requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support while ensuring the premises are well-maintained.
Main Responsibilities:
Regularly inspect the school premises to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Carry out general repairs and maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and fittings to support the smooth daily operation of the school.
Supervise and manage security systems, including monitoring CCTV cameras and ensuring secure lock-up procedures.
Take care of outdoor areas through gardening, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance tasks like snow removal.
Assist with setting up and clearing away for school events and activities.
Required Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role is an advantage but not essential.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Good communication skills to interact with staff, students, and external contractors.
A self-motivated and proactive approach, with the ability to work independently.
Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
