Job Title: School Caretaker
Location: South Liverpool, Merseyside
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated School Caretaker for our South Liverpool secondary school. As a key member of our team, your role will include:
- Ensuring the safety, security, and cleanliness of school premises.
- Opening and closing gates and buildings, responding to alarms.
- Overseeing overall security and emergency call-outs.
- Conducting routine checks, maintenance, and repairs.
- Managing waste disposal and grounds maintenance.
- Preparing for events and assisting with setups.
- Handling cleaning emergencies and daily upkeep.
- Ensuring safety in various weather conditions.
- Adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
- An enhanced DBS or be willing to undertake a new one.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent).
- Health and Safety qualification (desirable).
- First Aid qualification (desirable).
- Previous caretaking or premises management experience.
- DIY skills and independence in general repairs.
- Physical capability for lifting and carrying.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Commitment to safety and our school\'s values.
