Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join one of our School's dynamic team in the Gray's Area. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting catering operations, ensuring high standards of food safety, presentation, and guest service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and culinary arts to gain valuable experience in a professional environment. The Catering Assistant will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, serving guests, and maintaining cleanliness across the catering area.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and presentation in accordance with health and safety standards Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to at all times Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and service stations throughout shifts Replenish supplies as needed during service periods Support team members in delivering seamless catering experiences for school lunches/dinners

Skills

Previous experience in hospitality or catering is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices Experience in food preparation and serving within a restaurant or hotel environment is advantageous Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Good communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including weekends if required Knowledge of school principles to enhance customer satisfaction

Pay: From 12.22 per hour
