to join our school kitchen team on a temporary basis, covering sabbatical leave for one month. The successful candidate will support the preparation and service of nutritious meals to pupils, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and serving of school meals
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing up
Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
Assist in setting up and clearing away the dining area
Support the catering team to ensure lunchtime service runs smoothly
Communicate effectively with colleagues and pupils
Requirements:
Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role (preferred but not essential)
Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
Friendly and professional attitude
Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check -
required
Good understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures
Certificates Required:
Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate
(or higher) -

Allergen Awareness Training Certificate
