REPONSABILITIES

Food preparation, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen, ensuring food safety, and assisting with serving meals. They also help with dishwashing, waste disposal, and general kitchen maintenance. Here's a more detailed breakdown:Food Preparation:

Assisting with the preparation of food items, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting vegetables. Helping with the cooking process as directed by the chef or supervisor. Preparing salads, sauces, and desserts.
Food Safety and Hygiene:

Ensuring that all food preparation areas are clean and hygienic. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Adhering to food safety regulations and school policies. Monitoring food storage temperatures and ensuring proper labeling and dating of food items.
Serving and Clearing:

Assisting with the serving of meals to students and staff. Setting up the service counter and clearing tables after meals. Washing dishes, cutlery, and other catering equipment.
General Kitchen Duties:

Maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen. Disposing of rubbish and ensuring the rubbish area is kept neat and tidy. Storing food and ingredients in designated areas. Assisting with stocktaking and ordering of supplies. Operating cleaning equipment and following cleaning procedures. Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for food preparation. Working as part of a team and communicating effectively with other kitchen staff. May be required to assist with special functions or events. May be required to undergo training, both on and off the job.
