Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team and assist in the preparation and delivery of high-quality catering services. The ideal candidate will support the catering team in various kitchen tasks to ensure the successful provision of school lunches. This role is term time only, 5 days per week, 11am start to 2.15pm finish.

Duties

- Assist in meal preparation and presentation for school lunches
- Support the catering team in setting up and serving food at school
- Help maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and food storage areas
- Follow food safety standards and regulations during all food preparation activities
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Aid in basic cooking tasks as needed

Requirements

- Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a team player mentality
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior staff members
