Bettws Lifehouse, an Independent Special School, has a wonderful opportunity for a cook/chef who wants to combine catering with caring for a gorgeous bunch of SEN children and all the love and joy they bring with them.
The successful candidates will be required to supply meals for up to 25 pupils aged 7 - 14 who have specific learning and behavioural needs.
The Role:
Food preparation and production for approximately 25 nutritional meals each day
Ensuring individual pupil special diets are adhered to, with sound knowledge of allergens
Ordering and controlling stock
Ensuring the kitchen and practices adhere to Environmental Health and company policies and procedures
Ensuring the kitchen is compliant with all legal regulation for food and health and safety
Managing and completing the HACCP and COSH documentation
To provide reports, budgets and other documentation to the school Business Manager as required
To assist in other aspects of the school where the skills of the Catering Manager may be of benefit e.g. providing catering facilities at events and parent evenings
To provide advice and guidance on the development of improved products and services for catering related areas
To implement, monitor and revise catering policies on an ongoing basis
To take an active role in First aid when needed and participate in training as required
