Job Description

We are hiring for a DBS school cleaning supervisor to work in a school in Yardley.

Working hours are 3pm - 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Duties

Managing a cleaning team to ensure a high standard of hygiene, which includes assigning duties, inspecting work, training staff, managing cleaning supplies and equipment. Manages replacement of cleaning equipment, in liaison with the site manager Oversees and ensures the safe use, care and storage of equipment and materials. Operate domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and materials, following appropriate training. Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces in commercial settings Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas according to health and safety standards Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning duties Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

Previous experience in school cleaning or janitorial services is preferred Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of hygiene Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good organisational skills and reliability Physical fitness to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
