Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities. Duties

Safely operate various types of commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, ensuring adherence to all road safety regulations Conduct pre-journey inspections of vehicles to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns Deliver goods to specified locations in a timely manner, ensuring accurate loading and unloading Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays Assist with warehouse tasks such as loading, unloading, and organising stock when required Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs Follow all health and safety protocols during transit and within warehouse environments

Requirements

Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery roles, preferably as a delivery driver or similar position Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; driver qualification is advantageous Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues Experience handling flatbed vehicles or similar large transport equipment is desirable Strong communication skills for liaising with team members and clients effectively Previous warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding logistics operations Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing schedules
