Career Teachers are looking to appoint an experienced Design & Technology Technician for a North Birmingham based secondary school on a full-time temporary basis (term time only) starting September 2023. As a DT technician, you will be required to be part of a small team of technicians offering support to teaching staff within the Design & Technology department, responsible for preparing equipment and material for lessons as requested by the teaching staff in a safe working environment compliant with current Health & Safety legislation. You will also be required on occasion to carry out the role of Classroom Assistant, assisting the teacher in the delivery of lessons and the students in their work. To be successful for this role, you must: Must have a minimum of one year\'s experience working within a school setting on either a permanent or temporary basis as a DT Technician. A creative individual who possesses excellent organisational skills Pro-active in providing support for teaching and learning in the classroom and under the supervision of teaching staff. Eligibility to work within the UK. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
