Role Summary

Greenfields Nursery is seeking a caring and reliable individual to join our team as a School Escort and Lunchtime Support Assistant. This dual-role position involves safely collecting children from local primary schools and providing supervision and support during the lunchtime period at the nursery.

Key Responsibilities

School Pick-Up Duties

Escort children safely from designated local primary schools to Greenfields Nursery Ensure children remain safe, calm, and together during walks or transport Build positive relationships with school staff and parents/carers Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents
Lunchtime Cover

Supervise children during lunch, encouraging healthy eating and good table manners Support children with feeding where necessary Promote positive behaviour and social interaction during lunch and playtime Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Requirements

Experience working with young children (nursery or primary age preferred) A warm, patient, and responsible approach Good communication and teamwork skills Understanding of safeguarding and child protection Enhanced DBS check (required prior to start) Use of own car with clean driving license
Training & Support

Full induction and safeguarding training provided Ongoing support from the Greenfields Nursery team
