The Role:
You will play a key role in delivering a high quality auditing service to schools - reviewing internal control systems, identifying areas for improvement and providing practical recommendations that will make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out audits of schools and academies. Audit work will include, but not be limited to financial operations, financial efficiency, personnel compliance, data protection compliance, governance reviews, funding, inventory and facilities management
Reviewing internal control systems, identifying any weaknesses and providing recommendations for improvement
Preparing and presenting audit reports that reflect the audit findings, evaluate the level of risk exposed and make recommendations for improvements
Keeping abreast of legislative frameworks surrounding our internal scrutiny frameworks and communicate updates to clients and the team
Providing advice and guidance on internal control matters as part of our helpdesk
Assisting with writing audit programmes to ensure they meet client needs and are compliant with all applicable directives and regulations
Working with clients to plan their annual audit programmes tailored to their specific needs

: Full-time (37 hours/week)
Location
: Access to a car and flexibility to travel is essential. The company office is outside Colchester, Essex; however, work will usually be carried out on client premises. Some remote working is available.
