Duties

Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients as directed by chefs. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and ensuring that all necessary items are readily available. Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper stock rotation and adherence to health and safety standards. Assist in cleaning the kitchen and dining areas, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste appropriately. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn. A background in hospitality or culinary arts is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Basic knowledge of food hygiene practices is beneficial. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
