School Meals Supervisory Assistants





Grade 3 5,657 pa to 5,737 pa

Permanent

Part time, 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 11:45 am - 1:15pm

39 weeks, term-time only (including training days)



We're looking for enthusiastic and patient School Meals Supervisory Assistants (SMSAs) to join our team as soon as possible. If you enjoy working with children and want to be part of a friendly, committed staff team, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing




Supervising pupils during lunch in the dining hall and playground.

Supporting children with their relationships and helping them engage with others.

Organising fun and inclusive activities during lunchtime to encourage social interaction and play.

Ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all pupils.

Creating a calm, friendly, and positive lunchtime experience for everyone.

A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children with special needs.

Experience working with children, ideally in an inclusive setting.

Good communication skills, with clear spoken and written English (to be tested at interview).

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and work well as part of a team.

Calm, understanding, and flexible attitude.

Willingness to follow school policies and attend training (including first aid).
