About the role

We are seeking a polite, reliable, and professional Minibus Driver to carry out morning and afternoon school runs during term time. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is punctual, safety-focused, and enjoys working with children and the local community.

Key responsibilities

Safely operate a minibus for AM & PM school runs. Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks and report any defects. Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers at all times. Maintain a polite, friendly, and professional manner with students, parents, and staff. Follow scheduled routes and adhere to all safeguarding and transport guidelines. Keep the vehicle clean and presentable. Notify management promptly of any delays, issues, or incidents. Be willing to be deployed on alternative routes if required by the employer.

Hours and pay

15 hours per week (approx.), split across morning and afternoon journeys. 15 per hour. Please note: Regardless of delays (traffic or other), the maximum paid hours per week is 15.

Requirements

Full UK driving licence with D1 entitlement (essential). Enhanced DBS certificate (preferred, but not essential). Good communication skills and a polite, professional attitude. Reliability and excellent timekeeping. Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

(but not essential)

Previous minibus or school transport experience. Basic understanding of vehicle safety checks. Safeguarding training (can be provided). First aid training (can be provided).

What we will need before start date

A copy of your driving licence. A copy of your Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one). Proof of right to work in the UK. Two references (optional but recommended).
