Alderbrook School has an exciting opportunity for an experienced nursing professional to join our dedicated pastoral support team. This permanent position is suited for a well-qualified individual with previous experience in the education sector or practice.


We are looking for a qualified school nurse to take charge of the day to day health of each student within the school and to provide first aid to pupils as required.

Our new colleague should:Have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work under pressure. Be qualified and prepared to administer first aid to students. Have excellent administrative and ICT skills, which are essential in this position. Have the ability to pay close attention to detail. Have experience of working in a busy environment and be prepared to work collaboratively as well as independently. Be able to work to deadlines, which may require multi-tasking at times. Show initiative and the confidence to share ideas. Have a great sense of humour and the ability to support others with a smile, when times are tough.

Situated centrally in Solihull, Alderbrook is a highly successful 11-18 school in the south of the borough. In September 2015 we opened our Sixth Form which is flourishing and providing our learners with a first-rate post 16 experience. The first Year 12 cohort numbered 55 students. As of September 2020 Alderbrook boasts a Sixth Form of over 200 students.

Within school we also have a bespoke additionally resourced centre for learners with Autism. Alderbrook has a strong student development department that supports mainstream SEN students. We are a comprehensive in every meaning of the word.
