About the Role and You



Working pattern:

Full Time, Permanent, All Year Round

Salary:

Up to 26,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Start date:

Immediate start available

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Office Administrator who will play a key role in the smooth running of the school office. You will provide high-quality administrative support to the Headteacher and wider school community, ensuring the efficient operation of the school's administrative, finance, and HR functions.

Your main responsibilities will include:



Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with students, parents, colleagues, suppliers, and external partners. Supporting the school's finance processes, including sending out termly bills, maintaining accurate records, and managing supplier payments. Overseeing general office management duties and providing administrative support across HR, finance, and operations. Generating and processing invoices using Xero, including handling queries from parents and suppliers. Managing the Headteacher's diary, appointments, and meeting preparation, acting as a professional and discreet first point of contact. Maintaining pupil records, the Single Central Register (SCR), and confidential personnel files. Managing correspondence, phone calls, and billing enquiries, including taking payments over the phone.

About You:

We are looking for someone who has:

Previous experience in a busy school office or administrative environment, ideally as a School Secretary or Head's PA. Excellent IT skills, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint. Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. The ability to work independently and handle confidential matters with discretion. Experience with Xero or similar finance software (desirable but not essential).
