Experienced

in school site management, with a proven track record in a similar role

Competent in IT systems

, including day-to-day operational platforms and reporting tools

Flexible

with working hours and able to adapt to a rotating shift pattern
The shift pattern may include Caretaker shift cover which alternates weekly as follows:

Week 1:

Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am - 2:00 pm; Friday, 6:00 am - 1:00 pm

Week 2:

Monday to Friday, 11:30 am - 7:30 pm
Daily Rate: 120-130

Candidates must have full vetting with a recent DBS or be signed up to the DBS Update Service.

Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and proactive Premises Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, technical knowledge, and leadership qualities to ensure the premises are well-maintained, compliant with health and safety regulations, and optimised for daily operations. This full-time position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team and manage various projects related to building management and technical systems.

Responsibilities



Oversee the day-to-day operations of the premises, ensuring all facilities are maintained to a high standard. Manage maintenance schedules, including electrical, mechanical, and structural repairs. Supervise a team of technicians and support staff, providing leadership and guidance. Coordinate project management tasks related to refurbishments, upgrades, or new installations. Monitor and optimise building systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics for efficient operation. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct regular inspections. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes to minimise downtime. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of services. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in premises management processes.

Requirements



Proven management experience with strong leadership skills. Demonstrable project management capabilities within a facilities or premises environment. Technical knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Supervising experience in a similar role is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge combined with maintenance expertise across electrical and mechanical systems. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple projects effectively. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately. A proactive approach with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
