Spalding Taxis are looking for caring and reliable school run drivers to join our fast growing company across the Peterborough, Boston, Grantham, Sleaford, Skegness, Holbeach and Spalding area to take children from home to school and then back from school to home during term time.

Journeys will be undertaken in up to an 8 seater vehicle, so experience of driving this sort of size vehicle would be an advantageous.

We have part-time driving work available in your local area and the contracts for the journeys are 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) during school term-time for both the morning and afternoon runs. Drivers can also work additional hours if they wish to meet the demand of local taxi work. These are immensely rewarding roles and our drivers play an important part in supporting and enhancing the service we provide.

Have you got what we are looking for?

You will need to:

Hold a UK driving licence older than 12 months with less than 6 penalty points

Be at least 25 years of age due to insurance restrictions.

Must have the right to live and work in the UK

Must hold South Holland hackney carriage taxi driver licence, however if you do not have these we can assist with the application process.

Be sufficiently medically fit to pass a Group 2 Medical examination

Be able to receive an Enhanced DBS criminal record check to the satisfaction of the licensing authority (as you will be working with children and young persons)

Drivers will need to possess the following skills:

High level of commitment to the service, reliability and desire for longevity in the role

Friendly, positive attitude and enjoy working with children

Good communication and interpersonal skills;

A warm, welcoming and approachable manner;

Willingness to dress smart and act in a professional manner;

Time management skills;

Ability to work on smartphones and use the apps and navigation;

Driver responsibilities:

To drive company supplied vehicles, which include cars, 8 seater minibuses and wheelchair accessible vehicles;

Vehicle owner drivers are welcomed, vehicle can be licensed as long as it meets the local authority licensing conditions;

You must be available to work both the morning (06.00am- 09.00am) and afternoon shift (between 14.00pm-17.00pm) Monday to Friday, hours will vary depending on the contract you will be doing.

To keep the company provided vehicle at a safe and convenient location or you can drop the vehicle at the office

To maintain the assigned vehicle to the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness at all times. Facilities are supplied free of charge for this at head office with a team of staff who will assist with the maintenance of your supplied vehicle.
