The Headteacher and Governing Body at Clytha Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and highlt-motivated School Support Officer Level 2 (Grade 3) to join our happy school. This will be a permanent post and will commence on or around Monday1st September, 2025.This vacancy has arisen due to the retirement of the current post holder.

This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established yet forward-thinking school. As a School Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for parents, children and visitors entering or telephoning the school and it is essential that you have a calm, friendly manner and enjoy working with both adults and children as well as possessing excellent communication skills. The person appointed will be required to provide duties as detailed in the attached job description.

The appointment process will involve a short interview with the Headteacher and a member of the Governing Body and a task.
The Governing Body and Local Authority are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).

Working hours will be 22.5 hours per week, starting from 8:45am-12:45pm on Monday-Friday and the potential of an additional afternoon one day a week from 1:15pm-3:45pm on a day to be agreed if possible.
